At the sharp end we can see that this is now A GREAT TIME TO BUY PROPERTY.  Prices have indeed fallen back significantly from their short-lived 2007 peak, making property surprisingly affordable again and there are plenty of signs that the market is stabilising.  Interest rates are likely to remain at historically low levels and lenders are beginning to reduce mortgage rates.  However, don't be surprised to read more negative statistics in the press in the coming weeks as they continue to report out of date Land Registry and mortgage lenders figures for completed sales.

The effect of rising rental figures is increasingly taking effect as buyers realise that giving a Landlord thousands of pounds a year instead of paying it off their own mortgage is not a great idea going forwards.  As a result there is tentative but growing demand again from first-time buyers.  The market is now finding its' level again and we believe that in the future this will be seen as an extremely opportune time to enter the market or move up.
